About Max Friedmann

Max Friedman was a cattle trader in Arnstadt, Germany. The company he had built together with his brother-in-law David Ambach had to be sold in 1938 under pressure of the Nazi regime. Max Friedman and his family then fled to the Netherlands. When he heard on 10 May 1940 that German troops had invaded the Netherlands, Max Friedmann got a heart attack and he passed away. He is buried on the Jewish cemetery in Diemen.
