About Mozes van Bueren

Mozes van Bueren lived in Deurne (Belgium) with his wife and child when the war broke out. The family fled to the unoccupied part of France. When the Nazis seized control of this area, Mozes van Bueren was arrested. On 6 March 1943 he was deported to Majdanek from Drancy. He did not return. The Dutch Red Cross assumes that he was killed between 10 March 1943 and 1 June 1945. The last date is the latest possible date applicable for Belgium. Upon his deportation from Drancy he had several pieces of jewelry in his possession. The archive of the Stichting Sieraden-Comité contains correspondence about the items of jewelry looted.
