Betje de Jonge married Alexander Gersons (nicknamed Sander) on 10 April 1899 in Bemmel. The couple had two children. Her son Alex Gersons only lived for one day: he was born on 16 August 1901 in Tilburg and died on 17 August 1901 in Tilburg. He was buried in Tilburg. The second child survived the war.
