Maria van Emrik was a daughter of Marcus van Emrik and Jansje Presburg. Probably in Antwerp, she was married to Eduard Emanuel, a son of Jacob Emanuel and Isabella Kan. She had a sister Helena, married to Samuel van Staverend, who also lived in Antwerp, and a brother who has survived the Holocaust.
Maria van Emrik was deported from Mechelen to Auschwitz with convoy 6, which departed on 27 August 1942 and arrived at Auschwitz on 29 August 1942, where she has been killed two days later.
