About Alexander Frank

Alexander Frank was a son of Philip Frank and Vrouwtje Israels. He married in Venlo on 24 Februari 1902 to Sophia de Vries, daughter of Levi de Vries and Marianna Berlijn. The couple had a son Felix Frank.

Since 20 April 1914 Alexander Frank and his wife and son came from Amsterdam to Rotterdam and resided at Stationssingel 7c. He was a shopkeeper in haberdasheries. From Camp Westerbork, where Alexander had to stay at barack 59, he has been deported to Auschwitz on 16 October 1942 and upon arrival there on 19 October 1942 immediately killed.

However his wife Sophia de Vries, was only sent to Camp Westerbork on 27 February1943 and had to stay at barack 69. She was deported to Sobibor on 2 March 1943 and immediately killed upon arrival there on 5 March 1943.
