Rebecca Gobitz was a daughter of Israel Gobitz and Klaatje Wijnman. She married 18 December 1889 in Amsterdam Joseph Scholte, a son of Hijman Barend Scholte and Leentje Mechanicus.
They had five children together, of whom one little son has died in 1898, only 2 years old. The others, Hijman, Israel, Barend and Leentje have been killed all during the Holocaust.
