About Henri Philips van Buren

Henri Philips van Buren, born in Arnhem, was a son of Max Philips van Buren from Renkum and Aleida Johanna Louisa Oorsprong from Rheden. He was born into a family with five children, of whom only hes elf has been killed in the Shoah. His parents, two sisters and two brothers have survived the Holocaust. In January 1937 the family Philips van Buren arrived from Arnhem in Amsterdam; on 13 May 1938 they resided at Sluisstraat 38 and per 21 may 1940, their address was Utrechtsedwarsstraat 154 hs, Amsterdam. On 31 March 1943 Henri was registered in transit camp Westerbork from where he has been deported to Sobibor on 3 April 1943. On 9 April 1943 he has been killed there.
