Sophia Polak, a daughter of Marcus Polak and Mietje Polak was married on 25 May 1943 in Amsterdam to Walter Kattenburg, a son of Israel Kattenburg and Margareta Hagelberg. They went into hiding in Laren where they have been arrested on 16 February 1944 at their hiding address Bijeenstand 1. On 3 March 1944 they were deported to Auschwitz were they have been killed on the 15th of that month.
