About Esther Vreeland-Sanders

Esther Sanders, a raincoat sticker, was a daughter of Saartje IJer and Hijman Sanders. 25 March 1942 she married in Amsterdam the baker Abraham Vreeland, a son of Levie Vreeland and Rachel Kokernoot. 26 May 1943 Esther and her husband Abraham Vreeland were deported to Camp Westerbork, where 6 July 1943 in the camp their son Louis was born.

21 September 1943 this family was put on transport to Auschwitz were Esther and her 2 months old son Louis were immediately killed upon arrival there 24 September. Abraham Vreeland however was forced to hard labor till he was killed in Auschwitz 24 November 1943.
