Josephus Voorzanger, diamond polisher, was a son of Isaac Voorzanger and Jansje Park. He was born at Borgerhout (Antwerp) but lived between September 1933 and December 1938 at various addresses in Den Haag, but left Den Haag in December 1938 and went back to Berchem. From details of the Dossier of Foreign of the City of Antwerp nr. 146605 it appeared that Josephus Voorzanger was married but it is not known to whom, where and when.
Josephus Voorzanger was killed in Mauthausen on 10 December 1942. His brother Bernard and his sisters Henrica and Anna might have survived the Holocaust but not his siblings Abraham, Emanuel, Selina Elisabeth and Esther; with various convoys they have been deported from Mechelen to Auschwitz where they have been killed.
