About Roosje Meijer

Roosje Meijer was a daughter of the cheese merchant at Montfoort Simon Meijer and Helena Troostwijk. She married 16 April 1941 in Amsterdam Erwin Plaat from Holten (Germany), domestic servant, a son of Louis Plaat and Rosa Marchand.  Roosje resided in Gouda but was registered per 7 May 1938 at the address Nieuwe Looiersstraat 156 II in Amsterdam. On 23 November 1942 she  and her husband Erwin resided with her parents-in-law at Amstel 296 III (3rd Floor).

Roosje had two other siblings: Bertus Samuel and Jacoba Keetje. Beside she self and both her siblings, also her mother was killed in the Shoah. Only her father has survived the Holocaust.
