Rachel Waas was a daughter of Isaac Waas and Henriette Velleman. She married on 6 July 1938 in Amsterdam to Siegmund Goldschmidt, son of Hermann Goldschmidt and Rosa Bloch. In 1941 their daughter Rachel was born; she has survived the Holocaust.
