Isidore van Os studied medicine in Amsterdam, where he sat for his medical finals on 6 February 1892. He took his PhD degree in Amsterdam on a study about enterectomy and entero-anastomosis on 23 March 1893. Isidore van Os lived and practised medicine as a GP at 13 Plantage Franschelaan in Amsterdam. He was a retired physician since 1940.
