Emanuel Zwartverwer was a son of Samuel Zwartverwer and Rebecca Fresco. He married in Amsterdam on 16 April 1913 to Reichl Strus from Czestochowa. The couple had five children: Catharina, Samuel, Abram Sija and the here mentioned Raphael and Louis.
