Eva Barnstein was a daughter of Meijer Barnstein and Grietje Kooker, a family with eleven children, among them she herself, Betje, Hartog, Engeltje, Esther, Mina, and Maurits. Jetta, who was married to Hartog Zwalf, has survived the Holocaust as the only one of the children. Three children has already died at a very your age.
Eva married 6 January 1921 in Amsterdam to Jesaia Kooker, son of Meijer Kooker and Mietje Pais. The couple had two children: Wilhelmina and Max.
