Aaltje van Horst got married on 4 October 1899 in Hilversum to George Boutelje, who was born in Amsterdam on 25 August 1852 and died in Amsterdam on 29 January 1916. Aaltje van Horst remarried on 13 November 1919 in Zaandam to Levie Roet, who was born in Amsterdam on 14 September 1862 and who died on 26 February 1932 in The Hague.
Three children were born from the marriage of Aaltje van Horst with George Boutelje, of which Israel Abraham Boutelje and Abraham Boutelje did not survive the war.
Aaltje Roet-van Horst was arrested by the Sicherheitsdienst in her home at 30 Gijsbrecht van Aemstelstraat, third floor, in Amsterdam. Several items of jewellery were stolen during the arrest.
