Johanna Mok was a daughter of Emanuel Mok and Sophia Kokernoot. She married in Amsterdam on 10 September 1924 to Hartog van Cleef, son of Levie van Cleef and Betje Corper.
Johanna had eight siblings of whom one sister has died only one week old, four sisters have survived the Holocaust but not her brothers Jacob and Abraham and her sister Branca.
