About Hartog Pampel

Hartog Pampel was a son of Moses Pampel and Schoontje Simons. He married in Amsterdam on 11 November 1908 to Betje Aandagt, daughter of Israel Aandagt and Rachel Dresden. The couple had seven children, of which Eva died in childhood. Mozes, Israel and Jonas survived the Holocaust. Leon, Eliazer and Schoontje did not.

Hartog Pampel was employed at an institution for the blind. A granddaughter remembers that when he came home in the afternoon he often threw her a coin from the window to buy some candy.
