Mozes Roodenburg was a son of Hijman Hargog Roodenburg and Sara Abraham Mulder. He married on 13 June 1894 to Klara Jacobs, daughter of Jesaia Jacobs and Sara van Praag. Together they had four children: Sara, Jesaya, Hijman (who survivide the war) and Abraham (who died only 1 month old)
Klara Jacobs passed away on 1 September 1899 and Mozes remarried, aged 32, on 24 October 1900 in Amsterdam to his 20 year old sister-in-law Schoontje Jacobs.
Together with Schoontje, Mozes had the following ten children:Clara, Anna, David, Isaac and Emanuel who still lived with his parents. A daughter Eva died only 6 months old and their children Abraham, Eva, Matthijs and Simon have survived the Holocaust.
