Leon Zwaaf was a son of Jacob Zwaaf and Christina Vleesdrager. He married 14 January 1903 to Esther Finsi, daughter of Aaron Finsi and Sara Furth. The couple had four children together of whom Aron died only 2 1/2 months old and Sara died aged 8. Their two sons were Jacob and Israel.
Between November 1939 and May 1942, the residence of Esther Finsi was "Het Apeldoornse Bos" in Apeldoorn.
Leon had another brother and a sister: 512237 and 513292.
