Jacob Vischjager was a son of Elias Vischjager and Leentje Swalleff. He married 14 August 1907 in Amsterdam to Judic Schelvis, daughter of Mozes Vischjager and Marianne Wurms. The couple had five children of whom Marianna died only 2 years old. The other children were Lena, Mozes (who survived the war - but not his wife Branca Mok and his seven children), Elias and Esther.
Judic Schelvis passed away on 3 March 1913 and Jacob Vischjager married again on 23 June 1915 to Rosa Visser. From this marriage, Marianna, Klara, Eva, Anna and Leendert were born. It is certain that Leendert has survived the Holocaust.
