Salomon Wolf Luza was a son of David Wolf Luza and Mietje Vischkoper. He married 22 May 1890 in Amsterdam to Eva Berkhof, a daughter of Hartog Abraham Berkhof and Simmetje Slomper. Salomon and Eva had ten children together, of whom two children have died before the war and three children survived the war. The other children, Betje, Anna, David, Bernard and Mietje have been killed all during the Holocaust.
On 6 October 1938 Eva Berkhof passed away and she was interred in the Jewish Cemetetry of Diemen. Salomon Luza remarried afterwards on 15 February 1939 to Sofia van der Wijk from Hoogeveen, a daughter of Anthonie van der Wijk and Roosje Godfried..
