Clara van Loon was a daughter of Salomon van Loon and Marianna Bonewit, who both passed away already before the war. She married 13 September 1916 in Amsterdam to Eliazer Verdoner, a son of Isaak Verdoner and Judic Boekman. The couple had three children: Salomon, Isaac and Judith.
Clara was born in a family with 10 children. One little sister died in 1896, only 2 years old. One brother and one sister have survived the war but the other siblings, namely Isaac, Hijman, Philip, Vogelina, Nathan and Louis have been killed during the Holocaust.
