About Sylvia Kohn

On 4 May 1932 the 'Ezer Jatom' association opened a Jewish orphanage at 66 Pletterijstraat in The Hague. On 6 March 1943 the Nazis removed the children and the staff from the orphanage. They included several German refugee children, such as Sylvia Kohn.

In September 1941 Sylvia Kohn was enrolled in Grade 1 of the municipal commercial secondary school in The Hague. In October 1941 Sylvia Kohn had to transfer to Grade 2a of the Joods Lyceum.
