Betje Polak was a daughter of Benjamin Polak and Sophia van Dam. She married in Almelo, Stad on 15 July 1886 to Philippus Bloemendal (butcher), son of Levi Izaks Bloemendal and Frouke Izak Akker. The couple had five children: Fransina, Louis, (married to Rebecka Zilverberg but already passed away 22 April 1924), the twinbrothers Abraham and Izak and Benjamin.
Philippus Bloemendal passed away in Den Haag on 25 November 1931.
