Leon Verduin was a son of Isaac Verduin and Rachel Bernardina Stijsel. He married in Amsterdam Watergraafsmeer on 1 August 1929 to Sara Polak, daughter of Juda Polak and Grietje Verduin.

Leon Verduin tried to escape to Switzerland. Just across the border he was arrested and handed over to the French autorities. From transitcamp Drancy, Leon Verduin was deported to Auschwitz.
