Mozes de Haas was a son of Salomon de Haas and Lena Eijl. He married a non-Jewish woman and had four children with her. His wife and children have survived the war. He was also known as Maup.
Mozes was born in a family with nine children. He had three sisters and five brothers, of whom two have survived the war. His sisters Rosetta, Hendrika and Annie and his brothers Hermanus, Henri and Louis have been killed too during the Holocaust.
