Albert Micheels was the son of Josef Micheels and Saartje van Gelder. He had three children.

In 1942, the occupying forces made Albert Micheels give up his membership of Amsterdam’s stock exchange. They also forced him to move from Bloemendaal to Amsterdam.

The name of Albert Micheels appears on a handwritten list of all people who worked for the Dutch-Jewish Community in Haarlem during the early years of the war. A photograph remains of each official. Albert Micheels was chairman of the Dutch Poor Relief Board.
Albert Micheels was married. He and his wife lived on the Plantage Parklaan in Amsterdam.
