Saartje Slager-Zeehandelaar has tried to flee from the Netherlands. In Antwerp she was arrested. In prison she committed suicide by taking cyanide. Saartje is buried at the Jewish cemetery of Putte (NL), together with six other women in one grave.
Saartje Slager-Zeehandelaar had a son Johan Slager.
