About Betje Nathan

Betje Nathan was unmarried. She lived at 55 Stationsweg in Winschoten. She was a schoolteacher and was certified to teach French at primary school. When Jewish children were no longer allowed to attend state schools, a school for Jewish children opened in Winschoten at the former and then vacant commercial school on the Langestraat. The school for Jewish children opened on 15 October 1941. Betje Nathan taught at this school.
