Betsie Frankenhuis was the youngest Jewish victim of Haaksbergen. In front of the primary school where she went to as a child, there is placed a small statue which shows Betsie as the young girl who is happily walking home. Another statue shows a figure of an old woman who waits for her grandchildren. But this has never happened. The statue was placed on initiative of the organisation Berith Sjalom in Haaksbergen.
