A former girl-next-door remembers that during the war police officers came into the shop of Benjamin Tertaas, with the accusation that his pair of scales was rigged. He then was taken away and never returned. Some time later the rest of the family went to 'visit' him in the Hollandsche Schouwburg and never came back.
