Joseph Meijer Bosman was a son of Meijer Bosman and Jeannetta den Arend. He was married 2 Augustus 1899 in Rotterdam to Jeanetta Pieters, a daughter of Jonas Pieters and Sophia Huisman. The couple had three children and a stillborn daughter. Their son Maurits died already 4 September 1900, just 1 month old. Two daughters, namely Sara and Mathilde got married but were killed with their families in the Shoah.
Joseph's wife Jeannetta Pieters however passed away in Rotterdam, aged 46, 20 October 1917 and was interred in the Jewish Cemetery Toepad. Joseph Meijer Bosman deceased in Rotterdam too, aged 74 on 22 November 1941 and the funeral records at the Jewish cemetery in Rotterdam reveal that Joseph Meijer Bosman was buried there too
