Philip Coezijn was the eldest son of Jacobus Coezijn and Mietje Mok. Philip had 18 siblings. He married 21 September 1938 in Amsterdam with Sara Straus from Poland, daughter of Benjamin Wolf Strauss and Cirel Fratz. The couple had no children.
