Robert Harold Gillhaus was the son of Emilie (Emmy) Simona Uijekruijer. In January 1943 his mother and he went into hiding at Aalsmeerweg 72 in Amsterdam.
The people in hiding just went into the street. This proved fatal for Robert and his mother. During a walk through the P.C. Hooftstraat, on 13 September 1943, they got arrested.
