About Simon Philips

Simon Philips, a son of Henri Philips and Sophia Gottschalk, married 19 January 1928 in Amsterdam to Henriette Sajet, a daughter of Abraham Sajet and Klaartje Veerejong.
His father passed away in 1926 and his mother survived the war.
As the only one of the four children of his parents, Simon has been killed during the Holocaust.

During the war the Philips family went into hiding. [See: Going into hiding] The parents and the children stayed at two different addresses. When Sophie was visiting her parents, they were arrested. The other child survived the war.
