Sara Schrijver was a daughter of Juda Schrijver and Schoontje Gobes. She married Marcus van der Sluis, a son of Joseph van der Sluis and Esther Spaanbroek, on 20 August 1930 in Amsterdam. The couple had five children: Joseph, Schoontje, Henri, Jules and Gerard.
