Susanna Roza Sealtiel (also known as Roosje) was the daughter of Abraham Joseph Sealtiel and Sara Serlui. In 1894, when she was 18 years old, she married Meyer Sealtiel, the son of David Sealtiel and Bilha Waterman. The couple had six children: Schoontje, Sara, Betsy, David, Gracia and Abraham. Meyer Sealtiel died in 1936.

In 1922 Meyer Sealtiel lived with his family on Waterlooplein 62 III in Amsterdam. At the time he was an unemployed diamond worker. His wife, Susanna Sealtiel, also was an unemployed diamond worker (rose cutter) and received an income support. Their daughter Sara was lingerie seamstress at 'Wolf' on the Oudeschans. Their son David was office clerk for Kisch/Hirsch & Co on the Prinsengracht.
