Wolf Polanus was a son of Andries Polanus and Emelia van Weezel, a family with four children: he himself, Juda (Jo), Adriaan (Ariaan) and André Jacques.
Wolf married in 1938 in Eindhoven to Eva van Boele, daughter of Meijer van Boele and Henriette de Jongh.
The couple had one daughter: Henriette, who has survived the Holocaust.
