Ernst Fischer was a son of Simon Fischer and Irén Klein. He married Margit Trebitsch in 1919 in Boedapest. She passed away in the same city in 1934. They had a daughter Veronika. Ernst Fischer remarried in 1935 in Amsterdam to Elizabeth Henderika Adolpine Waterman and had the here mentioned child with her.
