About Aron van Dam

Aron van Dam was director of co-operative De Dageraad and SDAP-alderman in Winterswijk. He was the son of Nathan van Dam, cattle trader and butcher, and Roosje Polak. On June 18, 1909 Aron got married to Johanna Leviticus. They had three children.
During the war Aron and his family fled to Amsterdam, where they rented out part of their house as a source of revenue. Aron's son Max, who resided at another address, was a painter.
