About Nathan Zegerius

Nathan Zegerius tried to flee from his hiding place to Belgium. During an inspection in the train he was arrested in Dordrecht ; by way of Vught concentration camp he finally arrived in Westerbork transit camp. From there he was transferred to the Aussenstelle of the Sicherheitspolizei in Amsterdam.

Nathan Zegerius was shot in the dunes in Bloemendaal on August 15, 1944. He was buried on the war cemetery in Overveen in November 1945. Only in 2005 he got his own gravestone there when his remains were positively identified.
