About Jozeph de Lieme

Jozeph de Lieme (known as Jopie) was a son of Meyer de Lieme and Naatje van Bergen. He worked at his father's butcher shop and played the violin.

The mayor of Haaksbergen requested that Jozeph de Lieme, a butcher residing in Haaksbergen, be located, detained and brought to trial. He was suspected of having changed his place of residence without obtaining the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.
