Izak Pront, a son of Hartog Pront and Sara Werkheim, was born in a family with twelve children; his parents aswell one sister and one unmarried brother have passed away before the war. However not his brothers Mozes, Simon and Willem nor his sisters Mietje, Jeannette, Grietje, Elisabeth, Naatje and Rosalina. They all have been killed during the Holocaust.
Izak Pront married 1 December 1915 to Saartje van Cleef, a daughter of Simon van Cleef and Judith Polak. Toghether, they had four children: Clara and the here mentioned Judith, Dora and Hartog who still lived with their father.
Saartje van Cleef deceased however on 12 November 1923 and Izak Pront married again on 13 June 1929 in Groningen to Alida Catharina Lammers. With her, he had a son in 1930, who has survived the Holocaust. On 14 November 1932 already, the couple divorced in Groningen.
