About Julius Sanders

Julius Sanders was a dealer in beef cattle for the firm of Sanders, Cohen & Co. in Germany. He fled to the Netherlands in the 1930s and moved in with his cousin Jacob de Wijze in Nijmegen. In 1941, he married Frieda Goldschmitt.

The Police Commissioner of Nijmegen requested that Julius Sanders, merchant, and his wife Frieda Goldschmitt, both living at 23 Spaenstraat in Nijmegen, be located, detained and brought in. They were suspected of having changed their place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.
