Meijer de Hond was a son of Emanuel de Hond and Juda Aalsvel. He marriecd 28 June 1905 in Amsterdam to Duifje Degen a daughter of Samuel Degen and Sara Schelvis. The couple had in total fifteen children, of whom two children died as babies and one daughter might have survived the war. The other twelve children, Sara, Rachel, Salomon, Theresia, Schoontje, Emanuel and the here mentioned and still at home with their parents living Hartog, Abraham, Rebecca, Jacob, Marianne en Elisabeth, have been all killed during the Holocaust.
