About Levi Frenk

Levi Frenk, born in 1857 in Zierikzee, was a son of Henoch Frenk and Rebekka Frenk. He married Leentje van Bueren in Rotterdam on 2 July 1879, a daughter of Joseph van Bueren and Hester Knap. The couple had fifteen children: Izaak, Ester and Jacob died very young in infancy; Joseph,Rebecca, Mietje, and Elizabeth deceased already before the the outbroke of the war; Hester, Catharina, Christina, Aron, Louis and Nathan have survived the war. Levi's wife Leentje van Bueren passed away in 1924. Only his son Hendrik and daughter Rosina have been killed in the Shoah.

Levi Frenk was registered in Camp Westerbork on 14 October 1942 but died there at age 84 on 23 October 1942. He was buried at the Jewish cemetery in Assen on 25 October 1942.
