About Jozeph Blok

Jozeph Blok was Saartje Blok's brother. They came from a big family of which most children died at a young age. Their parents were Hartog Blok, who died on the first of October 1915 in Lemsterland, and Naatje Schrijver, who died on November 2, 1917 in Lemsterland. Jozeph made a living by petty trade, mostly dealing in cattle. During the war, he peddled a household product. Dutch police officers picked up Jozeph and his sister on April 29th, 1942. They were deported via Westerbork concentration camp.
