Wolf Smeer got married to Anna Leyden van Amstel in Westerbork transit camp on 29 July 1942. He was a son of shoemaker Mozes Smeer and Roosje Rooselaar. He was a leather-worker by trade. Anna Leyden van Amstel was a daughter of Jacob Leyden van Amstel and Vrouwtje Barber. She was a leather-stitcher by trade.
