Mietje Loonstijn was the mother of Catharina Les-Smit. She had three more children, two sons Levie Smit and Meijer Smit and another daughter Jansje Overste-Smit. Neither mother nor these children survived the war. between 1882 and 1894 she gave birth to eight children.
